Indigenous Leadership Academy

AIPI is growing emerging Indigenous leaders to aid our communities. Feedback from our program participants and Tribal leaders supports AIPI’s philosophy that the ILA is more than just a local program-it is a national leadership program. Between 2022 and 2023, AIPI has hosted four successful cohorts with two more in 2024. Participants unanimously agree one of the most valuable skills acquired increased confidence when presenting ideas in Indigenous and non-Indigenous spaces. The tools given at the ILA help lay the groundwork for participants to serve as community advocates to implement projects while using Indigenous thought and techniques derived from cultural frameworks that value connectedness and sustainability.
