The Biden-Harris Administration completed another year in which it continued its work to strengthen the nation-to-nation relationship between Tribal Nations and the Federal Government.
Leadership
The Indigenous Leadership Academy (ILA) is set to begin this week. This cohort of participants represent 15 tribes from 10 states and Washington D.C. This is a benchmark for the ILA and we are excited to share our journey. The 10 module program is designed with guest speakers for each module. These guest speakers have expertise in their field which directly relates to each module. For module 1 we are delighted to have Dr. Angela Gonzales as our facilitator.

It’s the end of the year, and everyone (that I know because I’m of a certain generation) on social media is posting their Spotify Wrapped 2022 playlist. So as I started thinking about the end of the year for AIPI and being a music person, I naturally saw the correlation.
We have successfully completed the Fall 2022 cohort of the Indigenous Leadership Academy (ILA)! The application for the Spring 2023 cohort will open on December 5, 2022. Follow along with AIPI for upcoming blogs, posts and everything else ILA.

If you have not checked out what we’re up to lately, I encourage you to take a look. I’m so excited about what the AIPI team is accomplishing. About how they’ve grown and gelled as a team. All you have to do is read about what’s going on with the Indigenous Leadership Academy’s second cohort of 27 emerging leaders from 15 tribal nations in 8 states and Washington, DC. Or take a look at our recent policy and research publications on a major Supreme Court Ruling and FCC Data Collection.
This is a repost of a previous blog. Networking is such an important piece of leadership and an integral part of the Indigineous Leadership Program. I thought it appropriate that it be shared again. Thank you for reading the Indigenous Leadership Academy blog. Please sign up for our email list here.
